Native American Heritage Celebration

Today we ventured to downtown Raleigh to the North Carolina Museum of History for the 15th Annual Native American Heritage Celebration. Although the tribes were all native to North Carolina, I thought it would be good exposure for Lijah to learn about his Native American Heritage. There were tons of people! They performed many dances and song with their beautiful head pieces. There were also stands with Native American food.


The North Carolina Museum of History is right next to the North Carolina Museum of Life and Sciences. The Life and Science Museum is amazing and absolutely free. We have been to the Museum several times so Lijah recognized it immediately. So, of course, we had to pay it a visit!

We headed home mid afternoon and little guy was pooped!
