Nana, Lijah and I went to the Dan Zanes Concert at the NC Art Museum in August. Dan Zanes is technically a “kids” band, but his music is for all ages. I have to admit a few years ago he was on the Disney Channel and I loved his music. I even went out and bought his CD. So, needless to say…we danced the whole time and the concert was fabulous!!!
That weekend we also enjoyed the monthly Art after Hours. We went with Rosa and Logan. It was really fun to see all the local artists and also taste some yummy treats.
We had our yearly Emerald Isle Beach Trip the 1st week in September. We had a little scare with the hurricane, they evacuated 2 days prior to our arrival. But, all was well and we were able to get there as planned. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The mornings and evenings were cooler and it wasn’t too hot. There was a big sand bar about 20 yards out which was a lot of fun to play on. The water was crystal clear and the dolphins were back this year. They so enjoyable to watch.
It’s Football Season! Yay! There is nothing quite like it. Lijah has turned into quite the little Redskins fan! J We had a little get together at Mom and Dad’s with Uncle Andy and family on Sunday to celebrate Kenan’s birthday. Drew, Kenan and Lijah were sitting at the table eating dinner and we were watching the Redskins game. Lijah says to them, “Hey Guys, if you EVER go to a Redskins and Cowboys game will you tell me ALL about it? If you see the Cowboys, you have to say boooooo!” That’s my boy!!! Whenever he sees anything Redskins, rather it be a flag, sticker, jersey, he gets super excited and says, “Mama…Redskins!”
