Hooray for the Beach!!!

It's finally beach season! We packed our bags and headed to the sunny sands of Wrightsville Beach. We decided to try a different part of Wrightsville. The beach wasn't as nice but it was easy to get in and out of and not very crowded.

Lijah definitely braved the waters and loved jumping in the waves. We already can tell he is going to be a total beach boy!

At the south end of Wrightsville Beach is a place called Masonboro Island. It is a Wildlife Refuge area that is State owned. It is actually really neat because it is only accessible by boat and people will camp overnight. You can see part of the beach island in this picture.

A few pictures of the Intracoastal Waterway...I always love watching the boats go by. We took these pictures right near the "Ice House" from Dawson's Creek.

There is nothing like a day at the beach to totally recharge you!!! It only took 10 minutes of me lying with my eyes closed just listening to the waves to feel totally relaxed.
