An eventful Disney on Ice evening

Mom came down this week to stay with Great-Grandmama so on Friday she stayed with us. On the way to Disney on Ice, we almost got in a horrible accident. A guy pulled out from the local shops and a cop swirved in our lane (so he didn't t-bone the guy) and he ended up slamming into the lady in front of us. If it wasn't for Josh's super fast ninja reflexes, we would have had major damage. The cop car was totaled, the guy that pulled out lost his bumper and the old lady in front of us had her front crushed. I felt horrible for her, she was bleeding...I frantically searched for tissues in our car for her. What Mom of a 2 year old doesn't have tissues or napkins!

Lijah thought it was cool because he got to see tons of cop cars and ambulances. The accident was less than 2 miles from our house, so it was scary. Despite our rough start to our evening, we had a great time at Disney on Ice. The Cars crew was there so Lijah really thought that was cool.

Today we walked through the paths behind our house and to the soccer fields and playground. Josh put his brace on and the dogs joined us. They were barky von schnauzies with the kids playing soccer, but they had a blast.

This afternoon we had a special treat from the church right by our house. A man was driving a truck pulling a trailer with hay with kids on the trailer. There were also kids walking, probably about 50 in all. They were singing Christmas carols. It was very festive while we put up our Christmas lights.

We are still enjoying the nice 70 degree days. It is chilly in the mornings and evenings but the days are just beautiful.
