The past few months have been a little chaotic and I wanted some special one on one time with Lijah. In the past, we attended events at our local park. On Saturday there was a fun program called Fall Foray!
We carved a pumpkin, went on a fun nature hike and had warm apple cidar. We learned some fascinating things on our nature hike!
There is an insect called the Boogie Woogie bug that feeds on the sap of American Beech trees. They have white "fur" covering them and when they all move the branches appear to be dancing. We also learned that ants eat their poop because it is so full if sugar!!!
My least part of the hike was when the instructor picked up a slug with her bare hands!!! GROSS!
We collected some leaves and brought papa his favorite leaf from a sweet gum tree!! :)
I had a great afternoon with my favorite big boy!
